DOLPH'S THOUGHTS:
It was directed by Vic Armstrong, a stunt coordinator who also had worked with George Lucas on the Indiana Jones TV-series, and pictures like Universal Soldier, Terminator and lots of the Bond movies. Army of One had a lot of fast chase scenes with cars. There was one Lamborghini and Ferrari F40 replicas that we drove and trashed.
Most of the picture was shot in the desert of California. It was quite hot and dry. Part of the shoot we where staying up in Lone Pine, which was the location of the old Cary Grant movie Gunga Din. We thought we had it rough but we stayed in a fairly decent motel, and we saw pictures of the old production Gunga Din, where Cary Grant and the director where the only people who had rooms. They only had two rooms in that town back in the 30´s. The rest of the crew, cast and extras, about 3000 people, stayed in tents for about 2 – 3 months.
